Of course, the surprises don’t stop with Miles. He’s gorgeous, big, radiates a dominant, confident energy that drives me insane and makes me all kinds of hot and bothered. I’m drawn to him which should be a huge red flag considering he’s my boss as of right now.
But then he opens the door and two gorgeous guys are sitting there. It takes effort to keep my jaw from dropping. What kind of female-fantasy lab were they made in? And how do I get a personal week-long tour?
“This is Gunner Henderson and Matthew Thomas,” Miles introduces, stepping so close I can smell him.
He smells spicy but fresh. A mix of things that shouldn’t work together. Warm and woodsy with a pepper edge, but with slight floral scents that soften it. Control with an edge of danger. It’s mouthwatering. My eyes flick to him, drinking in his strength before focusing again on the two men in front of us.
I take a step into the office and lose all sense of where I am immediately. Gunner stands, his dirty blonde hair sliding around his cheeks leading me to his tempting lips. But his blue eyes steal the show. Dark and entrancing like the ocean. When he offers me a hand, I realize that his arms are huge. I don’t know how he’s not hulk ripping through his shirt.
His other hand has a glass of liquor with one of those circular ice cubes in it. When he releases my hand, he gives me a teasing smile, then adjusts the top of his pants, drawing my eyes down to where he’s obviously hardening.
I clear my throat and make myself look away. Drool-worthy. That’s the word for Mr. Henderson. And I have to call him that to remind myself I can’t actually pounce on him right here and now.
As if my nerves haven’t already suffered enough, when I face Mr. Thomas, I feel my lips actually part. He’s gorgeous. Rich caramel hair that lightens as it gets closer to his scalp. Warm whiskey eyes and holy shit. He’s so tall and big, but not thick. Not like Mr. Langston. His arms are so long, I think he could drag me against him even with the space between us. He wears his suit like a model.
He smiles kindly and I swear, I’ve never been more turned on in my life. My body has never reacted to anyone like this. A pleasant hum spreads across my skin as he clutches my hand.
“A pleasure to meet you.”
And his voice has me drunk. Holy fu-
“This is our new secretary, Bella,” Miles introduces. “Bella, I hope you don’t mind if I share you.”
“Please do.” I breathe.
Miles and Gunner chuckle. I can hear the dark edge there and I don’t even care if I’m feeding into the dirty innuendo. I would love to be shared by these three. They’re just … otherworldly. What woman would possibly be able to resist them?
“I look forward to spending more time with you,” Gunner says after taking a long drink. “Especially lunch breaks.” He winks.
“Gun.” Matthew says gently. “Give her at least a full day to settle in.”
One day? That’s one more than I need.
“I have a meeting to get to, so Matthew will show you the rest of the office and make the other introductions,” Miles says, then I feel his fingers stroke down my spine. “If you need anything …” I meet his eyes and my throat tightens as he gives me a naughty smile. “Or want to fill your mouth with more than my name, just let me know.”
The whole room is so quiet, I can hear the unsteady beating of my heart. “I will.”
Miles nods and heads out. Gunner winks. “That goes double for me, gorgeous. But let’s pretend I’m professional.”
“In your dreams.” Matthew chuckles before leading me out. “We’re rather informal, but we’re used to it being a boy’s club. Sorry about the blatant flirting.”
“I’d rather it be blatant, I guess,” I admit, trying to keep my face passive.
“If you don’t like it, just say something. No one will act on anything without you eagerly … requesting it.”
He puts me at ease just like that. My shoulders drop as his smile grows. He’s tan, gorgeous, and obviously knows it, but the fact that he could read my discomfort and knows that this is a very … different environment. I appreciate that he has that kind of insight.
“So, Mr. Thomas, do you like working here?” I ask.
“Call me Matthew, please. I get to work with my best friends and make enough money to do whatever I’d like. It’s a rare kind of job. I can’t imagine doing anything else.”
“Nothing else?”
His brown eyes flash with a hunger that takes my breath away. “Not when it comes to work.”
I bite my lip and let him introduce me to another gorgeous man, because honestly, at this point, should I expect anything else? Matthew grins as he waves his hand towards a large guy with short brown hair. His eyes are so dark and deep, that I think I could stare forever and never find where they end. He looks up at me and I swear, I feel like I’m wearing at least one layer too many.
He looks me over slowly, his jaw sharpening as he drinks me in. He stands and offers me a tan hand. “Holden.”
“Holden,” I repeat automatically, my voice breathy and embarrassing.
He nods once and motions to the computer. Matthew puts his hands up. “Yeah. Yeah. Work first. I get it.”
He leads me from the office and shakes his head. “Holden doesn’t believe in conversation for the sake of conversation. He thinks double what he says.”
“So only mildly terrifying?”
“I’m sure if you ask Gunner, you’ll get the gist of what we’re all thinking,” Matthew assures me.
I trip over the edge of the carpet and Matthew catches me, his big hands on my waist as I land against his hard chest. I slowly push myself away from him as my eyes stroke up his neck and his squared jaw. I swallow and open my mouth to say something, but I feel something tap my belly.
“Oh.”
“You’re not dense, Bella. I have no doubt you’ve caught every innuendo and lingering look,” He says softly. How is that look and his voice making me feel like I’m the only woman in the room? His fingers brush up my body, nearly cupping my breast before he rights me and pushes my hair from my face. “But if you’re not comfortable, speak up.”
“I have no problem speaking up,” I assure him, letting my fingers linger on him.
If they’re allowed to take liberties with me, they better believe I’m doing it too. He smiles and takes my hand, rubbing my knuckles with his thumb. “Then I think you’ll be able to handle Roman.”
I lean my head to the side at that, not sure what to expect until we’re in another office. It smells like leather, old books, and a fresh summer day all at the same time. I blink myself through the mouthwatering scent and then I’m stopped dead by the man in front of me.
His dark eyes are on me and I swear, he can see every desire, every bit of my soul, and read my thoughts all at once. He stands and shows exactly how huge he is. His dark curly long hair slides over his shoulders and I swear, the shirt is holding onto him because it would be sad if it ripped. His sharp jaw, intense aura, all of it makes my stomach tight.
I click my teeth together so I don’t immediately beg for him to fuck me. Because that’s all I can imagine asking him for.
“Matthew. Who is this?” He greets with a light accent, but his deep voice sinks over my skin like a blanket.
“This is our new secretary, Bella.”
I nod my head. “Hello.”
He looks me over again and nods once. Someone comes in and he turns his head to the side slightly, sending the person running away. The man rounds the desk, towering over me as I fight the tremors threatening my knees.
“Roman Agosti.” He says, his hands behind his back.
“Not going to shake her hand, Roman?” Matthew asks with a teasing smile.
“I’ll be in touch, Bella. We’ll be working closely together.”
Oh, I fucking hope so.
I manage a smile and nod, not trusting my tongue at all. Matthew helps me out of the room and rubs my shoulder. “You survived Roman. Congratulations.”
“He looks … lethal.”
“That’s a word. Not one many women use for him.” He chuckles. “Only one more left and I’ll show you your office.”
“Just my office?”
“Well, if you want to see more, I won’t say no.” His fingers slide up the side of my neck. “You must be special if Miles gave you an immediate yes without an interview with all of us together.”
“I wouldn’t have managed to get a single word out,” I say honestly. “But I am going to be dedicated to the job. I don’t want you thinking that I’m expecting an easy ride or anything like that. I’m here to work.”
“And work you will.”
“With the benefit of some very nice views,” I flirt.
Matthew smiles and guides me to the elevator. Dear god, being alone with him is something different. An electric current tingles through me from every touch, and he definitely doesn’t hesitate to touch my shoulder. But he behaves.
I have a feeling if I was in this elevator with Gunner, I’d be against the wall with his tongue down my throat. I take a slow breath.
“Am I starting today or tomorrow?”
“That’s up to Nick to decide. He runs H.R. I’m sure he’ll want you sooner rather than later.”
“Seems to be a running trend.”
“We appreciate fine art,” Matthew says, then gently guides me to look up at him. He licks over his bottom lip, making me want a taste of him. “And you are very fine art, Bella.”
“You’re just saying that to keep me sweet.”
“Never. I say what I mean. Always.”
“A good quality.”
We finish the short ride up to the second floor and Matthew leads me through some empty desks to an office that’s encased in only glass. Inside another man who makes me question my sanity. He’s sexy as fuck. That’s the only way to describe him.
Salt and pepper hair that’s perfectly tousled, then searing blue eyes. He’s tanned, and has some wrinkles on his face, but when he smiles, holy shit. It’s a beautiful white smile that dentists would kill to show in their offices. I’m shocked he’s not a model. He should be. I’m surprised GQ, Sports Illustrated, and any other magazine aren’t fighting over him.
“Hello. Matthew, who is this?” He asks, standing and walking around the desk. He rests his ass on the desk, showing off his white button-up and gray slacks. And honestly, that bulge there is so distracting, that it’s hard for me to focus.
“This is our new secretary, Bella. I’m showing her around and making introductions.” Matthew says, his hand stroking over my back and stopping just above my ass. I swear, his pinky is right on my crack which makes me squirm for all the wrong reasons. I’d love to have his hand lower.
“What a delight. So much better than our last secretary.”
“I aim to be. I want the office running efficiently.” I manage to say despite the fantasy of both men fucking me right here in this office playing actively in my head. “I like exceeding expectations.”
“Something tells me you won’t have any trouble doing that.” He says.
“Oh, Bella, so sorry. This is Nick Grayson. You’ll be here for a bit, filling out paperwork and getting things all squared away.” Matthew says before checking his phone and sighing. “I’ll make sure to see you again before the end of the day to give you the layout.”
“I can handle that,” Nick says simply, eyes on me. “Let’s get you hired, Bella.”
Hell yes. I’ve never wanted any job more. I’d be happy just to bring them their food every day. I smile and sit in front of Nick, not minding that I’m eye-level with his cock. Oh the opportunities here.
